Eight warriors, one blood-moon coliseum. Punch, kick, dodge, cast your spells and unleash your special until only one fighter, or one team, is left standing.
Every fighter signs in with a José Madrid Salsa account. Sign in, or make a free account, to fight, climb the leaderboards and battle for your fundraising group.
To fight online or in tournaments you must be enrolled in a José Madrid Salsa fundraising group. Enter the fundraiser code your organizer gave you; it works on any device. In tournaments your group is your team. Fight versus the CPU is open to everyone.
Select a key and press a new one to rebind it. Up to four people can share one keyboard, and each can use a game controller instead.
Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro and most USB or Bluetooth pads work. Left stick moves, X punch, Y kick, B special, A jump, LT block, RT dodge and sprint, flick the right stick up, left or right for skills 1 to 3, RB fires your gun or spell, LB picks the next slot and the D-pad fires slots 1 to 4. Select a button below and press a new one to change it.
On a phone or tablet, put your left thumb anywhere on the left side to move. Tap or slide across the buttons on the right to fight; hold Block and Dodge. Tap a slot on your item bar to fire it.
Some keyboards cannot register many keys at once. If a move does not fire while several people are holding keys, rebind to keys further apart.
The tutorial walks you through every move, block, skill and piece of gear against a training dummy, one lesson at a time. The practice room lets you try anything you like on the same dummy.
You know every move now. Keep sharpening it in the practice room, or take on the CPU.
Pick a queue: everyone who joins the same one within 30 seconds drops into one battle, with CPU fighters filling out small ones. Ranked 1v1 waits for a real opponent and counts toward your rating. Or open a private room that only the people you invite can join.
Pick the rules and invite your friends. Nobody else gets in.
Teams are fundraising groups. The admin opens the tournament room at the agreed time; teams join with the tournament code and fight a knockout bracket on the Badlands, with friendly fire on. Anyone can watch live and chat.
Online matches never pause. Your fighter stands still while this menu is open.
